Individual Therapy

Individual counseling topics:

For adolescents age 13, through adult

• As of April 29, I am only available for one individual session for an assessment for gender-affirming letter and for ADHD assessments 

• As of April 29, I am currently full for individual therapy. You can fill out my waitlist, and I will email you when I have an opening. I cannot predict when I will have an opening

• I am also available for a letter for an emotional support animal for an apartment, for one session billed at my session rate of $175. Please send me an email at counselor@katemageau.com to coordinate this

Individual therapy topics may include:

• Neurodiversity, especially ADHD (I am ADHD myself and ADHD-CCSP certified as an ADHD professional)

• Career counseling 

• Past, current, and future-desired relationships, i.e. dating!

• Sexuality, sexuality identity (I am kink and poly affirming and knowledgeable)

• Gender identity

• Free gender-affirming letters

• Anxiety

• Processing through microagressions and discrimination

• Finding yourself again after a messy relationship

• Figuring out what you want to do in your life and how to get there (including job and school applications, resumes, and cover letters)

• Navigating social and legal changes that may affect your life

• Finding meaning in life

• Organizational strategies

• Mindfulness practices

• Dream analysis

• Brainstorming ideas with you to help you feel good about yourself and your life!

Individual counseling fees:

$175 per 50-minute session

Please note that my sliding scale spots are full for individual therapy. Also note that the only insurance I can charge is Aetna. If you have out-of-network mental health benefits through insurance companies other than Aetna, I can provide you superbills which you can submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement (this is not guaranteed).
